Green Gambling

Do you think that problem gambling is an addiction that is biologically based?

Or do you think that it is caused by environmental factors?

1. I don't think that people are genetically predisposed towards gambling per se. I do believe that some are genetically predisposed towards addictions, however, in that they find it much more difficult to stop something they enjoy. Also, similar to drinking and smoking, I think that environmental factors can influence one to gamble more than they should "oh, just one more hand of poker!". This is something that isn't a clean-cut, it is caused by this one thing and one thing only. Many different things contribute to a gambling addiction.
2. I do think it is just like drug addiction and alcoholism.....
