How would one go about to cure a severe gambling problem?

An uncontrollable gambling problem. I want to hear from anyone with experience in this situation. A 50 year old womans life and her adolescent children are affected. She is stealing money from friends and loved ones.

1. Its sad... The lady needs to admit she has a problem, there are gambling councilors around, you just need to find them. Some business that could help her would be cent re link ,they have councilors. They have a good range of help available, They have financial assistance,and many other help sections. If the family is aware that she is stealing from them, they need to put there money else where. They would have to do this UNtil she admits she has a problem. The woman is looking for something in her life to do. i wonder when she looses, does she get angry and come home and take it out on family members ??? I myself love bingo. it is a form of gambling but it costs $2-3 dollars per book and this type of game will last for hours. My husband hates poker machines and bingo but he said he would rather me at bingo than the other place.( i have hours and hours of fun with all types of people and you can win money back at bingo.) I go as i do not drink or smoke and its a game that is not un sociable like a poker machine. i hope i have helped a bit.
