- If you are gambling more than you can afford and cannot control the urge to stop. I'm pretty sure the counseling to very similar to drug and alcohol rehab.
- It depends where you go for this help. Many of them (like AA) blow christian sunshine up your .... That's fine, I guess, if you're a christian... or if you can somehow justify their message and translate it into your own language. I would seek private counseling if you have insurance or can afford it. If you gamble on the net - you can start by going to the sites where you gamble and telling them what you told us. - Many sites will refer you to people who can help you. Harrahs casino will also refer you and get you pointed in the right direction. ***If you want - add some detail to your question and tell me where you live, what your budget for counseling is and I will find you the very best counselor in your area.*** I've seen it all man. My heart is with you. I wish you the very best and I think you're very brave to come on here and ask for help.
- was this a trip to vegas? Usually a problem involves a long stretch of gambling. If you took a trip and blew more than you had originally planned I doubt you have a problem. If you blow all the money you get everytime you have any then you have a problem. But if you save up and take a trip somewhere to have some fun and you spend to much that is normal. ( unless you mortgaged your house and blew that while you were there.) It's no different then going to an amusement park and spending more than you anticipate.
- Everyone has a slip up every now and then. If you've gambled responsibly in the past and remained in control, you shouldn't worry too much about this loss. All losses sting. If you continuously try to "get even" after losing by maxing out your credit cards, tapping your ATM until it's dry, steal money, etc., then I'd say you're on a slippery slope and should seek some form of help. Never attempt to get even if you're losing or you've lost. When you're tapped out, leave.
- You obviously are hurt by this.Whether you have a gambling depends on what you are thinking right now: If -'i got win that money back somehow'- YES if-'damn i aint doing that again' NO http://www.pokernookie.blogspot.com
