Just want to confirm what I know.

- Yes. The simple answer is yes. People do things to medicate pain, and the excitement of gambling medicates pain in the same way alcohol or drugs. They both affect the brain in the same way. Most treatment centers around the country would warn someone about becoming a gambling, sex, food addict before releasing a person because one addiction can take over for another.
- yes
- unfortunately, yes
- Yes gambling can become an addiction, just as alcohol and drugs. Behavior patterns to all these have similarities. Thanks for asking.
- Yes! Because the gambler addict will ignore his family to gamble to the point of believing its all lies about his or her behavior. Also will only complain and be depressed when not gambling from loosing the high from it,and if looses the game its worse.Even when knows its taking all thier money and time and life they still do it.And when the pain is effecting everyone in the home emotionally and more they constantly rationalize and blame thier way out of as well as the spouse occasionally covers as she trys to believe his games are only games to not fight again.pain for family of gamblers is difficult because you cant fight gambling as easy as a physical drug or drink its worse because it invits them along.
- Yes. All of those are considered addictions.
- Alcohol and drug addiction is physical, as well as psychological. Gambling addiction is only psychological, but that doesn't mean it is easy to kick, and like an alcoholic, the only way an addicted gambler can stay "clean" is to never gamble at all.
- yes its a bad thing........
- Yes! All additions are treated very similiar. Any addition must take the proper steps to overcome. This is indicative that you are not in control.
